Image: Local families oppose projectThe Delaware Audubon Society is pleased to offer nonprofit fiscal sponsorship for the fundraising efforts of the Residents Concerned About the Middletown Power Plant. This group is dedicated to raising awareness about the plans for a data center and power plant proposed in Middletown. They are seeking answers to questions about the impacts of noise and air pollution, among other concerns, and are coordinating to stop onsite power generation at the project.

We offered similar sponsorship to the Newark Residents Against the Power Plant, a Newark-based group that successfully stopped the construction of a similar, though larger, data center and power plant complex on the University of Delaware Campus.
